| Golden Peacock Award for IndianOil-R&D for the fourth time

IndianOil has been awarded the prestigious 'Golden Peacock Innovative Product Award 2008', consecutively for the fourth time, by the World Environment Foundation (WEF) at a specially organised award function on January 17, 2009 in Mumbai.
An eminent jury, under the chairmanship of Justice P N Bhagwati, former Chief Justice of India and Member, UN Human Rights Commission, selected IndianOil for the development of a series of new generation oils 'Servo Agrospray Oils' for agricultural spray to control pests and diseases.
The 'Servo Agrospray Oils', highly refined specialty oils, are developed by the scientists working in the area of wetal working and specialty products to control insects and diseases on crops and fruit plants. These are paraffinic oil and have additive blend with high biodegradability, low plant phytotoxicity and excellent efficacy.
This award is the fourth consecutive award in the series won by the R&D team. Prior to this, IndianOil had received the Golden Peacock Eco-Innovation Award for the Development of Lubricity Improver in 2006, and for the Lube Marker System in 2007. In 2008 also the R&D team won the coveted award for the development and implementation of Multifunctional Additive (MFA) for branded diesel fuel.
