Mr. B.N. Bankapur, Director (Refineries)
accepted the ‘Most Innovative Company’ Award at the 6th Annual International
Business Awards 2009. The Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors
noted that under Mr. Bankapur’s leadership, many prestigious projects are being
commissioned concurrently across all IndianOil Refineries. Innovative efforts
such as sharing of intermediate streams, widening the crude basket, new
projects worth more that Rs. 30,000 crore, CDM projects, optimization of
refining system from standalone capacities to a network of interlinked units,
benchmarking of the refineries, performance and system improvement initiatives
including TPM, Six-Sigma and E-learning, cost reduction through cutting-edge
technologies and optimized operations through stream-sharing, Knowledge
Management System, etc. clinched the honour of being the finalist for ‘Most
Innovative Company’ Stevie Award to IndianOil.
The Stevie Awards were created to honor and generate public recognition of the
achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working people
worldwide. The International Business Awards are overseen by a Board of
Distinguished Judges & Advisors that features prominent and accomplished
professionals from around the world.
