Mr. B N Bankapur, Director (Refineries) has been honored at the 6th Annual International Business Awards 2009 in the ‘Best Executive’ category. The International Business Awards, nicknamed the ‘Stevie’ for the Greek word “crowned, honor and generate public recognition of the achievements and positive contributions of organizations and working people worldwide. The Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors select honorees from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 30 countries.

Mr. Bankapur’s close involvement in the strategic planning and growth of IndianOil, bringing in new initiatives and innovations to enhance profitability secured him the finalist position in the prestigious rankings. The citation refers to Mr. Bankapur’s vision and understanding of domestic and global refining industry which have been of great advantage to Indian petroleum industry and recognizes him as one of the most respected refinery technology experts in the country.
