| Greentech Safety Award to
Haldia Refinery

Haldia Refinery has been honoured with the
coveted Greentech Safety Award 2010 by the Greentech Foundation, California, in
Silver Category for its outstanding achievement in Safety Management. The award
was received by Mr. G C Kundu, Chief Manager (Fire & Safety), Haldia
Refinery, at a glittering ceremony held in Goa on May 24, 2010. The ceremony
was presided by Mr. G M E K Raj, Deputy Director General, Directorate General,
Factory Advice Service and Labour Institutes (DGFASLI), Ministry of Labour and
Employment, and Mr. Ramakant Dattram Khalap, Chairman, Goa Law Commission.
The Greentech Award takes a comprehensive look at the full spectrum of the
fire, safety and security throughout the world and is presented to the most
outstanding achievers in these areas. Appreciating the endeavours of the
Refinery in the fields of occupational safety, health and environment, this
award further encourages dedicated commitment to the field of accident
prevention.
