The Greentech Award is a coveted honour instituted by Greentech Foundation, a
non-profit organisation based in U.S.A. The organisation acknowledges the
efforts of those companies, which perform with excellence in the field of
safety management.
Relentlessly striving to build a safe environment culture at all its locations,
IndianOil has earned laurels by winning several Greentech Awards over the
years. Safety management refers to a systematic approach to manage
safety-related issues, which include the necessary organisational structure,
policies and procedures. Its objective is to avoid any kind of loss to human
life and damage to the environment and property. The Corporation has
successfully inculcated such practices in its organisational structure and
among its employees. |

The Guwahati Refinery was awarded the Greentech Award 2010 in the Gold
category, under Petroleum Refining segment. Mr. G. Bhanumurthy, ED, Guwahati
Refinery, along with Mr. A. K. Mathur, Senior Manager (Fire & Safety) and
Mr. S. M. Raut, Deputy Manager (Fire & Safety) received the award at a
glittering function held in Goa on May 24, 2010. This is the second time in a
row that the Refinery has received this award.

Bongaigaon Refinery brought more accolades to the Corporation when it too was
awarded the Greentech Award, the Gold category. The award was received by Mr.
A. Saran, ED, Bongaigaon Refinery, along with Mr. B. K. Hazarika, DGM
(Production), Mr. D. J. Patowari, Maintenance Manager (Electrical) and Mr. S.
K. Sarkar, Maintenance Manager (Mechanical). This is the Refinery's 3rd
consecutive Greentech Gold Award.

Mathura Refinery was awarded the "Gold Award" in safety management. Mr.
Prabhakar Kumar, Dy. Manager (Fire & Safety) received this award.

Haldia Refinery was awarded the Greentech Safety Award 2010 in Silver Category.
The award was received by Mr. G C Kundu, Chief Manager (Fire & Safety). The
Refinery's initiatives in the fields of occupational safety, health and
environment were highly appreciated.
The exemplary performances shown by these refineries have added new milestones
for the Corporation.
