| Mathura Refinery bags
“International Safety Award”

Adding yet another feather in its cap, Mathura Refinery has been honoured with
the prestigious "International Safety Award" from the British Safety Council
for the year 2009. This is the second consecutive award for the Refinery, for
its dedication to maintain highest safety standards in all areas of operations.
The British Safety Counci honours those organisations which are committed
towards the improvement of corporate health and safety at the international
level. It has boosted the motivation of the Refinery's workforce whose
collective attempts have brought this recognition.
Mathura Refinery has taken several safety initiatives like near miss reporting,
safety briefings, safety training, safety structure tour report and education,
safety training, hands on training in fire fighting, improvement of safety
signages, conducing regular safety programs in the township etc. The year 2009
was a safe and accident free year for the Refinery as it completed a record of
1051 accident free days and 1628 fire free days on June 15, 2010.
