Hon’ble Minister giving away the Leading Oil & Gas Corporate of the Year award to IndianOil
The good run of IndianOil at the PetroFed Awards continued this year too with the Corporation bagging four awards for the year 2011. At a glittering ceremony hosted by the Petroleum Federation of India (PetroFed), New Delhi, awards were given away to the best and brightest of India’s oil & gas sector by the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Mr. S. Jaipal Reddy.

The Hon’ble Minister appreciated the initiative of the PetroFed and pledged wholehearted support of the Ministry towards the endeavours of the PetroFed Society. Speaking on the petroleum and energy sector he said, “No doubt, the energy needs of this country are high, but it is only 4% of the global demand. We need to use this energy source very judiciously.”
IndianOil led the honours of the evening when it was declared the Leading Oil & Gas Corporate of the Year. The award was received amongst thunderous applause by Mr. RS Butola, Chairman, Mr. RK Ghosh, Director(Refineries), Mr. M Nene, Director(Marketing) and Mr. VS Okhde, Director (Pipelines).
The other awards in the IndianOil kitty were Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year and Project Management (above Rs.2000 crore)- Company of the year. In the Individual category, Ms. Arpana Anand, Senior Project Manager was felicitated as the Woman Executive of the Year in the Oil & Gas industry.
