
Golden Peacock Award for Occupational Health & Safety conferred by Haldia Refinery
In a significant recognition of its extraordinary performance in the field of Occupational Health & Safety, Haldia Refinery was conferred the ‘Golden Peacock Award for Occupational Health & Safety’ (GPOHSA) for the year 2012 by the Institute of Directors (IOD), New Delhi. The award was given in the category of Large Enterprises, within the sub group consisting of Oil and Petroleum Sector companies.
It was presented on the occasion of 14th World Congress on Environment Management recently held at New Delhi.
In a glittering ceremony, Dr. B. N. Singh, Former Governor of Tamil Nadu and Assam, presented the Golden Peacock Occupational Health and Safety Award to Mr. Raj Kumar Ghosh, Director (Refineries), IndianOil, accompanied by Mr. Subhankar Ganguli, ED, Haldia Refinery, Mr. G. C. Kundu, Chief Fire & Safety Manager, Haldia Refinery.
The award was presented to Haldia Refinery in recognition for its significant achievements in the field of Occupational Health and Safety Management. The Golden Peacock Award is conferred every year in 12 different disciplines by The Institute of Directors, an apex association of Directors, to improve the professional Competence and to encourage competitiveness among the individual directors and their organisations.
