IndianOil new director

Praveen Kumar Goyal has taken over as director (finance) of IndianOil. Prior to his elevation to the board of directors, he was executive director (international trade, information systems and optimisation) at IndianOil's corporate office. Goyal has over three decades of experience in IndianOil and has handled the entire gamut of activities in the Finance function.

A chartered accountant, Goyal has shouldered wide-ranging responsibilities that include treasury operations of size exceeding USD 80 billion, policy formulation and statutory compliances as well as appraisal of projects beyond 100 crore. He has been at the forefront of sophisticated treasury operations such as borrowing through Collateralised Borrowing & Lending Operations (CBLO), and raising funds through international financial institutions.

With a seasoned and mature approach to issues and excellent domain knowledge, he has held board-level positions in IndianOil's subsidiaries such as Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Lanka IOC, IOT Infrastructure & Energy Services Ltd and erstwhile Bongaigaon Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd.

Goyal has represented IndianOil on several important committees and has actively participated in many seminars and conferences.
