IndianOil officials win awards

Three officials from IndianOil's Guwahati Refinery - A Longkumer (Instrumentation Manager), DM Surana (Senior Process Engineer) and Mridul Sinha (F&S Officer) - were honoured with awards for their achievements in the 'Best Managers' Competition of North East, organised by Guwahati Management Association, at a function held at Hotel Landmark on Thursday.

Rekha Sethi, director general, All India Management Association, was the chief guest of the function which was also attended by Dr Surajit Mitra, Acting Chief Secretary, Government of Assam, DN Barua, president, Guwahati Management Association, Prof Dilip Kumar Baruah, economist and head of the jury panel of the competition and PK Borthakur, vice-president, Guwahati Management Association, amidst a large gathering of professionals, members of GMA, participants in the contest, and the media.

Over 60 professionals representing various corporate houses and organizations of the NE, from both private and public sectors, participated in the well-contested event.

The awards have been instituted for identifying professional excellence and the contribution to society by managers and corporate leaders and to also enable them to serve as role-models for others.
