IOC shuts Koyali hydrotreater unit
New Delhi   23-Aug-2011

IndianOil, the nation's largest refiner, shut a unit that removes sulfur from diesel at its biggest plant for planned maintenance, according to two people with knowledge of the operations.

The diesel hydrotreater at the Koyali refinery in Gujarat will resume this month-end after it was closed earlier this month, the people said, declining to be identified because they aren't authorized to speak with the media. Ajit Pathak, a spokesman for the Mumbai based firm, didn't immediately return two calls made to his mobile phone on Monday.
