While the refinery was initially planned to export oil products, but given the increasing domestic demand, the company plans to cater to the domestic market through it. In the first phase, primary units such as crude distillation will start operating, whereas secondary units are expected to be operationalised later in 2012. IOC is currently losing Rs 122 crore per day on sale of diesel, kerosene and LPG at subsidised rates, Butola said.
