Phase-I automation done: IndianOil

State-owned IndianOil has completed the first phase of automation of its petrol pumps across the country and is “progressing very fast" in this regard, according to a top company official. Last year, lndianOil embarked on a plan to automate all petrol stations. In the first phase, it identified about 1,600. “That is progressing very fast. We have already covered 2,000 petrol pumps (under this programme), Chairman and MD R.S. Butola said.
