State-owned IndianOil has decided to establish its third LPG bottling plant in Punjab near Amritsar.

“In principal, it has been agreed to establish another LPG bottling plant in the state, for which two alternative sites of 40-60 acres have been identified. The proposal has been sent to headquarter for final clearance,” chief plant manager of IndianOil’S LPG Bottling Plant, Major (Retd) SS Nagi told HT.

Reportedly, if the project is cleared, Rs 60 crore would be spent to establish an LPG bottling plant and it will supply at least 11 lakh more LPG cylinders per month to Punjab’s consumers.

Nagi revealed that 5% growth was registered in LPG sales last year. It is expected to multiply further in current fiscal.
