IndianOil wins WPC Excellence Award for technical development

IndianOil wins WPC Excellence Award significant development that recognizes the competence of Indian research in the global arena, IndianOil beat the likes of Chevron, USA, and Saudi Aramco, Saudi Arabia, to win the coveted World Petroleum Congress (WPC) Excellence Award 2008 in the technical development category. IndianOil won the award for its path-breaking work in Hydro processing Technology for production of green fuels. His Excellency Juan Carlos I. King of Spain presented the award to Sarthak Behuria, Chairman, IndianOil, during the inaugural ceremony of the 19th World Petroleum Congress held at Madrid, Spain. This award recognizes indianOil's efforts towards improving the quality of life of communities through developing and supplying green fuels. Hydroprocessing technology is the technology of choice for secondary conversion. Due to its importance as a key technology for production of high quality and environment-friendly fuels and lubes, the hydro-processing or diesel hydro-treating technology is 3 closely guarded one the world over.
