IndianOil, the Maharatna oil and gas company of India, recently showcased its petrochemical segment in the K Fair, which is the biggest international trade fair for plastics and rubber. The IndianOil pavilion with an elegant white themed pavilion carrying a dash of corporate colours attracted enormous footfalls and was appreciated by one and all. The visitors evinced keen interest in the world class product profile of the petrochemical bouquet which IndianOil has to offer.

Over 3,200 exhibiting raw material producers, processors and machinery manufacturers from 59 countries participated in the exhibition. 218,000 trade visitors from more than 120 nations came to K Fair 2013.

Foreign visitors to K Fair 2013 showed an extremely high willingness to invest and procure products and raw materials from IndianOil. Being a government set up, the PROPEL brand of IndianOil was intrinsically trusted by many and the willingness of the traders to associate with IndianOil was overwhelming. IndianOil today is second largest player in this sector in the domestic market.

‘The corporation is envisaging an investment of Rs 30,000 crore in the petrochemicals business in the next few years’ said AMK Sinha, director (planning and business development). Machinery and plant construction, the largest exhibiting sector at K Fair 2013 with some 1,900 exhibitors, was also the focus of visitor interest. Another highlight at K Fair 2013 was the special show ‘Plastics move the World’ emphasising the contribution made by plastics to a ‘life in movement’.
