IndianOil achieves 100% RO automation in Ranchi

Mr. Indrajit Bose, ED (RS), HO, inaugurated Ranchi City Retail Outlet Automation initiative of IndianOil at M/s Indraprastha Petroleum, Ranchi for better customer satisfaction in the presence of Mr. G. Ramkumar, ED (RA), HO, Mr. M.D. Kumar, GM (RD), HO, Mr. R.S. Dahiya, GM, BSO, Mr. Nazmi, DGM (RS),BSO, Mr. Arvind Kumar, CEM,BSO, Mr. R.K. Shahab, SDRSM, Ranchi DO and other RDO Officials.

Besides other dignitaries from HO, BSO and Ranchi DO, the programme was attended by valued customers and media persons. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bose outlined the various benefits available under the Retail Automation System like automated billing, enhancement in customers’ satisfaction and various sales transaction analyses.

Mr. Bose explained that besides generation of various activity reports, it also ensures immediate and effective redressal of customers’ grievances based on available records for each transaction. He also unveiled the screen displaying the automation module to the customers.

Mr. G. Ramkumar briefed about the automation scenario amongst the OMCs and said that IndianOil is on the top with respect to the number of automated ROs on date. He further discussed various features of automation.

Mr. R. S. Dahiya explained various value added services available to the dealer through this Retail Automation System and how customers’ data can be accessed through the system. He stressed that the RO activities may be monitored from a distant place through internet and targeted customer loyalty program or campaigns could be introduced based on data generated through the system.

With the inauguration Ranchi became the first city in Jharkhand with all its ROs fully automated. With a vision to maximize customers’ satisfaction and transparency in its operations, IndianOil launched this initiative of automation of Retail Outlets. The initiative is also in line with the vision of Government of India to use technology to bring about transparency at all levels for the benefit of customers.
