Festival of Dances at Khajuraho.

Khajuraho Festival of Dances is celebrated annually at a time when the hardness of winter begins to fade and spring takes over. The most colorful and brilliant classical dance offer a feast for the eyes during a weeklong ceremony. The event was held from February 20 to 26 this year, attracting a high inflow of foreign tourists. This year IndainOil participated for the first time in the event.

"Preserving and promoting art and culture is part of our corporate ethos. We are very happy to be part of the 41st Festival of Dances at Khajuraho which is an international event" said Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jain, General Manager, MPSO while felicitating artistes at Khajuraho. Ms. Renu Tiwari, IAS, Director (Culture), Dept. Of Culture, MP State, Ms. Maharani Kavita Singh, Chairman, Nagar Panchayat, Khajuraho, Mr. Kuwar Vikram Singh, MLA, Mr. Masut Akhtar, Collector and Mr. Lalit Sakwar, Superintendent of Police, felicitated various artistes and award winners.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Tiwari said "This year we have broad based the selection of artistes for performing at the venue. Hence artistes who are not popularly known, but of high professional calibre have been given a chance to perform and enthral the audience"

In order to cash in on the unique corporate participation for the first time in this event, IndianOil promoted IndianOil Foundation's activities at the site through the ethnic looking exhibition stall.

The exhibition stall highlighted IndianOil's commercial strengths, including its CSR and Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan activities. A separate space highlighted the 'Green Footprints of IndianOil'-planting of saplings at locations by senior management during every visit, energy efficient office interiors, usage of solar energy and rain water harvesting in offices and retail outlets etc. For promoting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan campaign, “Talking Dustbins” were installed at the venue.

The talking dustbin said a loud recorded tone ‘Thank You for participating in IndianOil’s Swach Bharat Abhiyaan; Keep India clean, in Hindi and English with every throw of trash inside the bin.

IndianOil installed a selfie booth at the venue which helped visitors to click their photographs and match it with various monumental backgrounds from the touchscreen kiosk, and share the same on Facebook, email or take a hard copy print of the same. Everytime someone shared it online or took a print out, the message "In our heart there is love for art!! IndianOil proudly partners Khajuraho Festival of Dances" gets featured as a tag line.

The selfie booth witnessed long queues. Every senior visitor took a selfie at the kiosk like Ms. Renu Tiwari and Ms. Maharani Kavita Singh and shared their IOCian selfie on their facebook pages.
