IndianOil achieves 100% RO automation in Rajkot

As the part of nationwide drive of IndianOil under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoP&NG), Indian Oil declared Rajkot as fully RO automated city recently. With this new feat, Rajkot becomes the 28th city in India and 3rd city in Gujarat with total city automation.

Automation at Retail Outlets is instrumental in providing best services to the customers. It brings more transparency which translates into customer delight and satisfaction. The main features of Retail Outlet Automation are computerised billing, Quality & Quantity assurance and possibility of remote monitoring of operations of retail outlet through internet. Provision of various interlocks such as "No-Print-No-Delivery (NPND)" and alarms boost Retail Outlet operation efficiency manifold.

Complete integration of all activities and transactions of the retail outlet will help in providing quicker service to customers, proper redressal of customers’ complaints and also in building trust amongst customers.

The Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for Transport, Water Supply, Labour & Employment of Gujarat State, Mr. Vijaybhai R. Rupani presided over the ceremony. Mr. D. K. Sharma, GM (I/C), GSO and State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry Gujarat State welcomed Hon'ble Minister at the ceremony . While addressing the gathering Mr. Sharma outlined the benefits of Retail Outlet Automation and complimented all officials on accomplishing the same. The Hon’ble minister lauded IndianOil's efforts in bringing the entire city under RO automation. 

The other officials present during the function were Mr. R.K. Santlani, DGM (CS), GSO, Mr. Sanjiv Kakkar, DGM (RS), GSO, Mr. Alok Agrawal, DGM (E), GSO, Mr. Sujan Singh Kumre, Ch. Manager (CS), GSO and Mr. B. P. Mohanty, SDRSM, RDO. Apart from declaring Full City Automation, Hon'ble Minister inaugurated a special sales promotion scheme also for customers which offers half a litre petrol free on fuelling of Rs.1000/- or more in one go.
