IndianOil contributes towards building Rural Eye Health Centre at Bhubaneswar

IndianOil has approved a CSR contribution of Rs. 2 Crores for construction of Bhubaneswar Campus of L. V. Prasad Eye IndianOil Rural Eye Health Centre Institute, Hyderabad, with a chain of leading Eye Health and Research Hospitals & Institutes across Southern India and Odisha under the brand name ‘LVPEI’, managed by a Trust Hyderabad Eye Institute.

Mr. K. K. Sharma GM, OSO signed the MOU for the aforementioned contribution with Dr. Taraprasad Das, Vice Chairman and trustee member of LVPEI recently in presence of Mr. V. K. Bhattacharya, DGM(HR-CSR), OSO , Dr. Sujata Das, Director LVPEI and Dr. S. Rath, Ophthalmic Oncologist, LVPEI and other distinguished doctors and guests of LVPEI at Bhubaneswar.

The proposed IndianOil Rural Eye Health Centre LVPEI campus will be the Public Eye Health wing of LVPEI-Bhubaneswar with the objective to deliver affordable and quality eye health care services, particularly to the rural & tribal poor masses in Odisha. LVPEI provides free of cost eye treatments to economically backward and BPL population. It is engaged in the research of eye health issues among poor tribal population, who have no access to quality eye healthcare.
