New Delhi   11-Nov-2009
Post a major fire that broke out at IndianOil's Sanganer Terminal at Jaipur, the Supplies & Distribution team of IndianOil's Marketing Division has since drawn up an elaborate re-alignment plan for supplies of petroleum products to Jaipur and its neighborhood from its other depots and terminals in the state. The Jaipur Terminal which was gutted in the fire was supplying petroleum products to meet the daily needs of Jaipur and other locations including the districts of Dausa, Sikar, Jhunjunu, Churu, Tonk, Karauli, Sawaimadhopur and parts Bundi. Currently, a full-fledged supply arrangement has since been tied up, wherein the average daily retail demand of 265 kl of petrol and 1,165 kl of diesel are being met from Indianoil's depots at Ajmer, Bharatpur, Hanumangarh besides from Salawas and Chittorgarh Terminals, In addition, products are also being sourced from HPCL's terminal at Bagru to augment supplies. The entire allocation of kerosene for the state is also being fully met from the above-mentioned various supply locations. Retail Outlets (Petrol Stations) in Jaipur have been attached to IndianOil's different terminals at the above locations while large volume consumer supplies including that of Rajasthan State Roadways Transport Corporation (RSRTC) and Railways have been realigned and attached to Ajmer depot and Chittorgarh terminal, which are currently meeting fully the entire daily demand of 350 kl of diesel for the consumer segment. Normalcy in LPG supplies is also being maintained in Jaipur and its neighbourhood even though IndianOil's LPG Plant in Jaipur has been shut down as a precautionary measure on account of fire at its Jaipur Terminal. Against Jaipur's average daily requirement of 250 metric tonnes (MTs) of LPG per day, IndianOil has been supplying an average of 265 MTs of LPG per day for the last 10 days by sourcing supplies from IndianOil's bottling plant at Jhunjhunu besides from its Mathura, Delhi and Gurgaon bottling plants. BPC's Ajmer bottling plant is also chipping in with supplies to meet the demand. In other words there has been no shortage of LPG in Jaipur. The entire petroleum product requirement for Rajasthan, including Jaipur is being closely monitored round the clock by a dedicated team of IndianOil officers at Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Udaipur who are coordinating field level supplies of petrol, diesel & kerosene besides LPG. With the above arrangements, IndianOil is today fully meeting the entire normal demand of all petroleum products in Jaipur and other parts of Rajasthan and there has been no shortage of vital petroleum products anywhere in the state.
