Bongaigaon Refinery bags OGCF-2009 Award

The Bongaigaon Refinery of IndianOil has been awarded the second prize of Oil & Gas Conservation Award 2009 in Group-2 category (Refineries having steam consumption upto 0.50 MT/MT of crude processed). Mr. A. Saran, Executive Director and Mr. S. B. Kakoti, GM Technical along with other executives received the award from Mr. P. K. Sinha, Addl. Secretary & financial Advisor, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India in the presence of Mr. Sarthak Behuria, Chairman and Mr. B. N. Bankapur, Director (Refineries) during the 15th Refinery Technology Meet held in Mahabalipuram recently, which was organized by the Centre for High Technology in association with CPC. The award has been conferred on Bongaigaon Refinery on the basis of an Oil & Gas Conservation Survey conducted by the Centre for High Technology at the Refineries of the county to judge their performance in the area of 'Steam Leaks' during the 19th Oil & Gas Conservation fortnight 2009.
