IndianOil’s ’Customer Awareness’ programme held at Teok

A customer awareness programme on the quality of fuel sold through different retail outlets of IndianOil was held at Teok Fuel Centre on Wednesday. As a part of the customer awareness campaign launched by IndianOil throughout the North-east this month with the slogan 'Check and fill', the initiative was aimed at giving every customer the opportunity to check the quality of fuel before filling at any of the outlets operating under the oil major. Giving a lively presentation to customers here, Mr. Amar Jyoti Gogoi, Manager (Retail Sales) Jorhat area, said that the quality of the fuel can be easily checked by prospective customer just with a filter paper which will be readily available at all its outlets. "If the customers want, they may check the fuel density for which the apparatus and other equipment have been made available to each distributor," Mr. Gogoi added. IndianOil officials later gave a demonstration on quality check before the public present on the occasion and answered different queries in this regard. Later, talking to media persons, Mr. Gogoi said that the customer awareness campaign would be held in all 700 retail outlets operating in the Northeast Initially, the campaign has been undertaken in the outlets located on highways. He appealed to, the customers to bring the matter to the notice of the IndianOil officials concerned in case they have any doubts about the quality of fuel supplied through IndianOil retail outlets. He also stated that out of the 750 retail IndianOil outlets in the North-east, a few have been dosed down or the distributorship cancelled or put under scrutiny for alleged mixing of solvents or other foreign substances in the fuel. He also disclosed that IndianOil has plans to set up public utility services in all its outlets on the highways soon.
