L&T bags Rs 1,400 crore IndianOil order
New Delhi   30-Mar-2010
Larsen & Toubro has bagged a Rs 1,400-crore order from IndianOil for supply of a 4.17 million tonnes a year FCC (fluidised catalytic cracker) reactor regenerator project for IndianOil's fuel refinery at Paradip, Orissa. L&T said the FCC unit would be the largest in terms of capacity and complexity among the public sector unit refineries. The reactor-regenerator package is the most critical section of the FCC unit. L&T's work includes engineering, procurement, manufacture and commissioning. The project will be on lump sum turnkey basis and is expected to begin by July 2012. The order has been secured by the hydrocarbon mid and downstream business group of L&T, which has executed several similar refinery projects.
