Assam Oil Division marks IndianOil Day

All the employees of the Assam Oil Division, Digboi, were administered the IndianOil Pledge today on the occasion of IndianOil Day.

Subrato Ghosh, Executive Director, Sanjoy P Bordoloi, General Manager (i/c) and HN Sah, General Manager (Projects) administered the pledge in three languages. Messages from the Chairman, IndianOil, BM Bansal, and Director (Refineries) BN Bankapur were also read out before the employees.

Retired employees who have attained the age of 75 were felicitated by Subrato Ghosh, Executive Director. Serving employees who have completed 15 years of service were also rewarded for their long service. Suggestion Scheme Awards were presented to those offering the best suggestions.

An inter-school invitational football tournament and a blood donation camp along with free health check-up camp were also held as part of the IndianOil Day celebrations. Meritorious students of nearby schools were felicitated under Corporate Social Responsibility programme. In the evening, an in-house cultural show was put up by the employees and their family members, a press release said.

It may be mentioned that September 1, 1964, was the day on which two companies, ie. Indian Refineries Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited merged to form Indian Oil Corporation Limited, which is one of the leading energy companies not only in the country but across the globe.
