IndianOil organizes workshop on Excellence in HR

Sponsored by Maha Ratna, IndianOil (IOC), National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) organised a workshop on 'Excellence in HR' with the aim to promote quality of human resources in the Indian industries. More than 100 delegates from various industries including TAFE, Hatsun Agro Products and Cholamandalam Insurance participated in the one-day conference. The concept of 'excellence in organisations', case studies of best practices in HR and business excellence from various industries were discussed.

Speaking on the occasion, IndianOil's Deputy General Manager (HR), Southern Region, K Manickam, highlighted the vision and values of IndianOil. He said HR policies are the drivers of employee engagement, benefits, career opportunity, HR alignment, learning and development among others. On the e-performance management system, he also highlighted the key result areas, competencies, values and potential. Stating that IndianOil's human resources are vibrant and supportive, Manickam said, "From cradle to grave is the success mantra of IndianOil, reflecting the company's core values of care and passion". IOCL Executive Director DSL Prasad, IOCL General Manager Southern Region P Rajendran, TAFE Chief Information and Learning Officer, Shobana Ravi and NIPM Chairman Madras Chapter S Rajappan also spoke on the occasion.
