IndianOil sweeps PetroFed Awards

IndianOil's Panipat and Haldia Refineries have been conferred `Project Management Company of the Year 2010' award by Petroleum Federation of India (PetroFed). The Panipat Refinery MS Quality Project won the Petrofed award in the Rs. 500-2,000 crore category, while the Hydrocracker Project at the Haldia Refinery was the winner in the above Rs. 2,000 crore category. The awards endorse the Refinery's capabilities on cost, within schedule execution of projects meeting all Safety & Quality requirements.

The citation and trophy for the award was presented by the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas Jaipal Reddy in a glittering ceremony held at New Delhi recently.

To receive the awards from the Petroleum Minister, IndianOil teams at the dais were led by Chairman, IndianOil RS Butola, Director (Refineries), BN Bankapur, Executive Director (Projects), UL Dohare, Executive Director I/C (Panipat Refinery), RK Ghosh, Executive Director (Haldia Refinery), Subhankar Ganguli.

AK Roy, Executive Director (CP&ES) and Ashwini Sharma, Executive Director (Panipat Refinery), were also present.

The PetroFed Annual Oil & Gas Industry Awards recognizes innovations and excellence in the various areas of this sector achieved by Individuals, Team and Corporates and inspires to continue our quest for securing a bright future for the Oil & Gas Industry. The 2009 awards were given away in nine categories while the 2010 awards recognized praiseworthy performance in 11 categories. IndianOil bagged four awards for 2009 and six awards for performance in the year 2010.

IndianOil’s Guwahati Refinery was conferred the Refinery of the Year for 2009 award which was received by Chairman, Director (Refineries) and General Manager (Guwahati Refinery) BP Das.

The best Woman Executive of the Year 2009 was bagged by E Malarvizhi, Airport Terminal Manager at the Bangalore AFS while Anindita Moitra, Senior Project Manager at the Paradip Refinery Project, received a special commendation in the same category. Dr Veena Bansal, Senior Research Manager at the R&D Centre was honoured with the Woman Executive of the Year 2010.
