Mobile Ambient Air Monitoring Unit of CPCL launched

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) launched a mobile ambient air monitoring unit. Minister for Backward Classes and Environment, Government of Tamil Nadu T.K.M, Chinnayya launched the state-of-the art ambient air quality monitoring van. K. Balachandran, Managing Director, S.Venkataramana, Director (Operations), D. Lilly, Director (Finance), CPCL, R. Ramachandran, Member-Secretary, Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and Mullai R. Gnanasekar, Chairman, Manali Municipality, participated in the event. K.Balachandran, Managing Director, CPCL, said CPCL aimed to double the green belt stretches to 100 acres. He said this will be done by developing green belts off its premises in areas such as its desalination plant. S. Venkataramana, Director (Operations), CPCL, proposed a vote of thanks.
