Dr Ajit Pathak elected to IPRA Governing Body

Dr Ajit Pathak, National President of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) and Dy. General Manger [Corporate Communications], IndianOil, has been elected to the International Public Relations Association (IPRA) Governing body. He will represent Asia & Oceania at the leading international public relations association. Those elected to the governing body include Mike Okereke (Nigeria) and Loula Zaklama (Egypt) Ajit Pathak (India), Amybel Sanchez de Waither (Peru); Zehra Gungor (Turkey) and Sunil John (UAE)and AlexandreCordeiro (Portugal), Bart de Vries (Netherlands), Christophe Ginisty (France) and Philip Sheppard (Belgium). The other members of the new governing body are Richard Linning (UK) President 2011, Elizabeth Ananto (Indonesia) President 2010, Johanna McDowell (South Africa) President 2012 and Nigel Chism (UK), Treasurer. Dr. Pathak is also the First Asian to be the Secretary of Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communications Management - a consortium of 65 national Public Relations organizations. A Post Graduate in Law and Public Administration, Dr. Pathak is the first Indian to achieve Doctorate in Public Relations and also has a vast experience in mass communications as a Cartoonist, Feature Writer, Radio/TV newsreader and a Public Relations practitioner.
