'Forensic report on kerosene oil blast contradictory'
Guwahati   07-Aug-2011

Forensic test report of kerosene oil samples, collected in Bongaigaon district after the blast incident has not matched with the report prepared by IndianOil, Dhaligaon, confirmed the Bongaigaon ADC Binod Kumar Deka.

In connection with this report, a meeting was held between IndianOil officials and the district administration. DC Shantanu P Gotmare put forward some queries related to lapses in the product testing process. It was found that IndianOil conducts the product test by manual methods, and not with the help of digital services.

Being present as IndianOil representative, the Deputy General Manager (Operation) P Anbalagan responded to queries of the administration. Before the media, Anbalagan shared his feelings of pain on the kerosene blast victims. He said that they were investigating the matter seriously to find out the culprit. He admitted the possibility of adulteration of kerosene oil.

On the other hand, the ADC Binod Kumar Deka informed that on the basis of the forensic report they are going to take strict measures with the help of police to nab the culprit. The IndianOil officials present were apprised of the cause of action to be initiated.
