Vigilance Awareness Week is being observed at IndianOil, Western Region (WR), from 31st Oct 2011 to 05th Nov 2011, with the theme of Participative Vigilance, under the guidance of the Central Vigilance Commission. The observance of the week commenced with administering of the pledge to all employees by Mr. SS Bapat, General Manager (Regional Services), IndianOil, Western Region. In his inaugural address to employees of Western Region and Maharashtra State Office, he emphasized on the need for transparency and integrity in day to day work.

Mr. Harsh Sachdev, Dy. General Manager (Vigilance), WR and Ms. Mala Kachchap, Chief Manager (Vigilance), WR were also present on the occasion.

Mr. R S Butola, Chairman of IndianOil, in his message stated, “Trust and transparency have to be the cornerstone of a successful business. For a commercial organisation of our stature, it is imperative to display commitment to the highest levels of integrity and probity to sustain the goodwill, trust & confidence of our stakeholders." The purpose of observing the Vigilance Awareness Week is to spread awareness about the consequences of corruption and educate the public to eradicate such malpractices.
