IndianOil reaches a new high

IndianOil refineries have achieved a new record of crude processing during the year 2007-08. IndianOil refineries scaled throughput of 47.4mmt, registering a growth of 7.7 per cent in crude processing over the last year. Expressing happiness over the ail round performance, BN Bankapur, director (Refineries), IndianOil, said that the refineries have made all efforts to achieve the new feat of more than 100 per cent capacity utilisation in last eight years. During the year, Barauni, Gujarat and Panipat refineries achieved highest ever-crude throughputs of 5630 tmt, 13709 tmt and 12823 tmt respectively. The refineries also registered an overall production of LPG (1627 tmt), MS (4300 tmt), ATF (2135 tint), SKO (3775 tmt), HSD (19510 tmt), IAB (133 tmt) and Bitumen (2212 tmt) in 2007-08. In the competitive business market, emphasis was given to improve gross refinery margins. To achieve the same, IndianOil refineries processed highest ever high sulphur crude oil in 2007-08, which was 63.3 per cent of the total imported crude oil. Barauni, Gujarat, Mathura and Panipat refineries have improved upon their high sulphur crude processing. IndianOil refineries too processed highest ever-heavy crude oil in 2007-08 to the tune of 12 per cent of the total imported crude.
