IndianOil explores bio-jet fuel production capability

IndianOil is exploring opportunities to create bio-jet fuel production capability through overseas collaborations for use by the Indian aviation industry. Towards this, the downstream oil major is collaborating with Pratt & Whitney of Canada and select Canadian Universities for production of bio-jet fuel, essentially from feedstock specific to India, according to RS Butola, Chairman, IndianOil, while inaugurating the 18th International Aviation Conference hosted by the Corporation at Chennai. M Nene, Director, Marketing; Ines Salazar, VP, BRIC-Marketing; R. Sareen, ED, Aviation, IndianOil and Air Marshal SP Singh, AVSM, AOC-in-C, Southern Air Command, lAF were also present.
