In an endeavour towards clean and green future, IndianOil’s Western Region Pipelines Viramgam installation recently commissioned Non-pressurized 200 Litres per Day (LPD) Solar Water heating system, sanctioned under Additional Facility Scheme, at its Pipelines House. The system is capable of heating 200 LPD, to optimum temperature of 80 degree Centigrade. The system is replacement of Electric Geysers and caters to hot water requirement for various purposes. It is expected to save energy to the tunes of 2400-2500 KW units per system per annum, considering only four hours running per day for 200 days in a year. Work is also in progress for installation and commissioning of similar systems at Sidhpur and Abu Road Pump Station under Viramgam Base.
