An ACB team on Monday evening trapped an assistant manager of IndianOil, Vijay Kumar Meena, while taking a bribe of Rs 2 lakh at his residence in Ajmer.

Meena was demanding a bribe of Rs 5 lakh from a gas agency in Bhilwara for regular supply of cooking gas cylinders.

Meena is the in-charge of supply of LPG in three districts.

One Suresh Kumar Choudhary of Bhilwara approached the ACB saying that Meena was harassing him and demanding Rs 5 lakh for regular supply of cylinders. "We told the complainant to go ahead with talks and decide on the place to hand over the bribe," said Bhim Singh, DySP, ACB, Bhilwara.

It was decided that Choudhary will give Rs 2 lakh this month and the remaining 3 lakh later. Meena asked him to hand over the money at his residence in Hari Bhau Upadyaya Nagar.

Choudhary went to the house of Meena on Monday evening with currency notes marked by the ACB. As soon as the money was handed over, ACB officials arrested him.
