An environment ministry committee has recommended that clearance be given to state-owned Indian Oil Corp Ltd’s plan to lay pipelines from its Paradip Refinery to south jetty at Paradip Port in Odisha. IndianOil had proposed to lay 14 pipelines including one crude oil line, eight product lines and three utility lines with a provision of two future lines, the source said.

While the panel recommended clearance to the project, it said the company will need to give an undertaking stating that of laying of the pipeline would not be carried out during the breeding of the Olive Ridley turtle.
