IndianOil’s Gujarat Refinery is augmenting its refining capacity through brownfield expansion from its capacity of 13.7 MMT per year to 18 MMT per year by 2016-17 at an estimated cost of about Rs 8,000 crore. According to the refinery’s Executive Director Gautam Roy at Vadodara, the expansion will lead to improvement in distillate yield thereby enabling production of more value added products from the refinery.
