IndianOil Team finished runners-up at 34th PSPB Tennis Tournament held at Chennai

Naidu, CVO, CPCL, Mr. M. Sankaranarayanan,
DGM (Admn.), CPCL and  Mr. Nitya Kumar, Secretary,
CPRC, were also present at the event.

IndianOil bagged the Team Championship Runners'-Up trophy of XXXIV Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Inter Unit Tennis Tournament, organised by Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) in Chennai from March 1 to 5, 2015. In the Veteran’s Singles event, Tejbir Singh Bhandhari from IndainOil beat Hakim Ali of OIL by 6-0 and 6-1 and in Veteran’s Doubles Kalyan Das and Hakim Ali of OIL beat H. C. Khurana and Parag Gupta of EIL by 6-1 and 6-4.

At the valedictory function of the tournament, Mr. Gautam Roy, Managing Director, CPCL, distributed the trophies to the winners at SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam, Chennai. Mr. D. P. Naidu, Chief Vigilance Officer, CPCL, graced the occasion. At the outset, Mr. M. Sankaranarayanan, DGM (Admn.), CPCL, welcomed the gathering. Mr. Vivek Sathyajit, Joint Secretary, PSPB, also graced the occasion. Mr. Nithya Kumar, Secretary, Chennai Petroleum Recreation Club (CPRC), proposed the vote of thanks. Nearly 80 players from nine petroleum companies across the country participated in this five-day tournament won by GAIL.
