(Refineries) reviewing Paradip Refinery Project

Mr. B. Ashok, Chairman, IndianOil visited Paradip Refinery Project accompanied with Mr. Sanjiv Singh, Director (Refineries), IndianOil recently.

Mr. Ashok and Mr. Singh visited PDRP site to review the progress of Captive Power Plant (CPP), Atmospheric Vacuum Unit (AVU), Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU), Delayed Coking Unit (DCU) and Naptha Hydro Treater-CCR (NHT-CCR). They reviewed the Refinery’s Commissioning preparedness with PDRP Management. They visited South Jetty at Paradip Port Trust also. A Communication Meeting of Chairman & Director (Refineries) was organised with executives and non-executives of Marketing, Refineries and Pipelines Divisions of Paradip in an open house.

In his address Mr. Ashok said “This is the last leg towards commissioning of Paradip Refinery. IndianOil is eagerly waiting with a sense of excitement. Paradip Refinery will provide flexibility for refineries of IndianOil and will help in improving bottom lines. There is a tremendous sense of opportunity and optimism because after Paradip Refinery, IndianOil can stand up to say that we can be technology providers to the World.”

Addressed the gathering Mr. Singh said, “This is the most crucial stage for Paradip Refinery, especially the first stage of commissioning. After extensive assessment of preparedness, I am confident that we are ready for phase one. Paradip Refinery, once it is functional, will give lot of freedom and flexibility to all other refineries of IndianOil, as it capable of processing the heavy, high sulphur, worst kind of crude. Paradip Refinery is going to change the performance of Refineries Division and the Corporation.”
