Guwahati Refinery gets Excellence in TPM Consistency Award

Guwahati Refinery has been conferred with the ‘Excellence in Consistent TPM Commitment Award’ by Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance (JIPM) for commendable performance in maintaining the level of excellence in TPM commitment. Mr. Jogen Barpujari, GM, and Mr. S.P. Baruah, DGM (PN), received the prestigious award at a function, held at Kyoto, Japan recently.

Guwahati Refinery successfully cleared the first stage assessment on July 2, 2014 and the second (final) stage of the audit was on January 5, 2015. Mr. Kazuhiko Amakawa and Mr. Katsunori Suzuki, assessors from JIPM, audited various processing units and administrative processes during their visit to the refinery in January 2015.

During the audit, the assessors appreciated the case studies and activity reports presented by various TPM Pillars.

Guwahati Refinery started practicing TPM culture since January 2003. The first major achievement on excellence in TPM came to Guwahati Refinery as the TPM Excellence Award presented in March 2010.
