Director(HR) inaugurates Building GenNext Talent Hunt Programme

Mr. Verghese Cherian, Director (HR), inaugurated 'Building GenNext Talent Hunt Programme', fourth in series, commenced at IiPM on March 30, 2015. The programme is focused on giving training on ‘Art and Science of Effective Interviewing’ to IndianOil senior executives, providing inputs on conducting the selection process at IndianOil.

During his inaugural address, Mr. Cherian shared the concern and expectations of the Corporation from the participants. He mentioned that it is the collective responsibility of the senior executives to hunt the best young talent for organisation for recruitment of Engineers, CAs and MBAs. He further shared information about the introduction of new channel for the selection of Marketing and HR Officers through UGC NET.

While welcoming the delegates and participants, Mr. B. K. Ray, Programme Coordinator briefed them about the introduction of crunch of talent all over the world. He explained how the task of recruitment is getting more difficult not only in India but also globally. 64% of employers are facing difficulty in finding candidates with the right skills to fill a position, he informed.

The programme is being conducted with the knowledge partner, M/s KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd., who have certain understanding of the Corporation’s systems & policies. Mr. Pramod Sadarjoshi, faculty from KPMG gave an overview of the programme.
