IndianOil Femina Car Rally on March 22

The Lions Club of Patna Femina will organise its fifth car rally 'IndianOil Femina Car Rally 2009' between Patna and Nalanda on March 22. The car rally will be flagged off from Gasoline Service Station (IndianOil Petrol Pump, near R Block Railway Crossing) and will terminate at Prachin Bharat Nalanda Multi Media Museum Campus, Nalanda. Addressing the media persons here on Sunday, the president of Lions Club of Patna Femina Lion Namita Singh said the event; which would be organised under supervision of Bengal Motor Sports Club of Kolkata had already got the approval from the Federation of Motor Sports Club of India. 'This time there will be two categories for the rallyists. In the first category, both the navigator and pilot will be women, whereas in the second category, which will be the general category, both the navigator and the pilot can be of any gender. The sponsors of the rally include IndianOil, J K Tyres, State Bank of India, Kalyanpur Cement, Krish Hundai and others. And the funds raised by the rally will be utilized for socially and economically under privileged section of the society" Singh said. "The slogan of the rally is 'One Team-One Mission'. The rally, in fact, is an endeavour in the direction of empowerment to women," she added. Governor R L Bhatia will give awards to the winners at a function to be organised at Hotel Chanakya, here on March 23.
