IndianOil plans to spend Rs l,500 cr on pipelines

The nation's biggest refiner, IndianOil plans to spend Rsl.500 crore to add pipelines that will boost annual capacity by 10 million tonnes, a company official said. "We are aggressive on building pipelines because they are a safe and cheap way of transporting oil and fuels," P.K. Chakraborti, IndianOil's director of pipelines, said in New Delhi on Tuesday. IndianOil plans to add 4,000km to the existing network, exceeding 9,273km, by 2012, chairman Sarthak Behuria had said in September.
