IndianOil retired officers’ meet held

The eighteenth annual conference of IndianOil Retired Officers' Welfare Association, Guwahati chapter was held recently at the Guwahati Refinery guesthouse. Debendra Nath Bordoloi presided over the conference, which was attended by about 80 retired officers of IOCL. The meeting condoled the death of retired officers and IROWA members Bharat Ch. Bharali, Fatik Ch. Deb and Dr. Jiban Ch. Barua.

Delivering the welcome address, Bordoloi narrated in brief the activities and achievements of IROWA as a whole and appealed to the members to develop helpline volunteer group to serve needy fellow colleagues in times of their acute distress and other emergencies.

Debeswar Bhattacharyya read out the secretarial report and mentioned the achievements with regard to revision of post-retirement medical attendance facilities scheme and revision of ex-gratia scheme for retired employees to the satisfaction of retirees.

The meeting adopted a number of resolutions including proper implementation of superannuation benefit fund scheme, provision for reimbursement of travelling expenses for patient and an attendant whenever any retiree is send for specialised treatment outside NE states and minor modification of the PRMA scheme etc., said a release.
