IndianOil to add 53 LPG stations

IndianOil would add 53 more Automobile LPG Dispensing Station (ALDS) to its already existing 125 ALDS, across the country, before the end of the current fiscal, a top IndianOil official said today. Of the total sales of 99,300 tonnes of Auto LPG in India during April-September 2007, the company has sold 44,000 tonnes accounting for a market share of 44.3 per cent, Mr G.C. Daga, Director (marketing), said in a release here. Mr Daga, here to open the company first ALDS in the city, along with the Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Secretary, Mr M.S. Srinivasan, said works for five more ALDS were in progress in Tamil Nadu and by March, there would be 23 ALDS in the State. The second such facility would be opened in Coimbatore, before March 2008, he said. Mr Daga also said retail automation, the next level of service up gradation to enhance the core competence in petroleum retailing to serve the customers better, would be carried out in 2,000 retail outlets in the initial phase.
