IndianOil bags Petrofed awards in three categories

IndianOil bagged the prestigious Petrofed awards in three categories. The Corporation was bestowed upon Petrofed award for ‘The Most Responsibly Growing Corporate of the Year'. The trophy was presented by Mr. K.D. Tripathi, Secretary, MoP&NG, to Mr. B. Ashok, Chairman, IndianOil, in the presence of functional Directors of IndianOil, and DG, Petrofed, Dr. R.K Malhotra in a glittering ceremony held on August 8, 2016 at New Delhi.

Petrofed award for Oil & Gas Pipeline Transportation Company of the Year was also conferred to IndianOil. On behalf of the Corporation, Mr. Anish Aggarwal, Director (Pipelines), received the award along with senior officials from Pipelines Division. Petrofed Innovator of the year-Team award for the successful development and commercialisation of Indane Nanocut - the Hitherm cutting grade LPG was also bagged by IndianOil R&D Centre. The trophy was received by Mr. BP Das, Executive Director I/c (R&D), in the presence of the dignitaries. The team members, Dr. S.S.V. Ramakumar, Executive Director (RT), Mr. Shailendra Sharma, GM(LPG), Ms. Sadhna Khera, Mittal, DGM(CC) HO, Dr. M.I.S. Sastry, DGM( NT), Dr. C. Kannan, DGM,(AM), Mr. Ashutosh Tiwari, CM(LPG) Dr. Samik Hait, RM and Dr. Jyotiranjan Ota, DMR also received a citation and a cash award of Rs.50,000/- from the secretary.

Indane NANOCUT is the first nano-product from IndianOil which was launched on March 10, 2015, R&D foundation day, by Mr. B. Ashok, Chairman, at R&D Centre. The product has the rare distinction of covering the journey of ‘concept to commercialization' in a short span of three years. Since launch, the product received excellent market response from 28 LPG bottling areas of pan Indian locations. Some major attributes of this product include superior cutting efficiency, lower consumption and better surface finish of cut steel specimens.

The Petroleum Federation of India is an apex Society of entities in the hydrocarbon sector and acts as an industry interface with Government and regulatory authorities. It helps in resolution of issues and evolution of policies and regulations. It represents the industry on Government bodies, committees and task forces and has been submitting recommendations to the Government on behalf of the industry on various issues.
