IndianOil Launches All-India Awareness Campaign On Pre-Delivery Checks Of LPG Cylinder

Mumbai, November 4, 2019: In line with its commitment to quality of products & services while ensuring complete safety of its customers, IndianOil, the world's largest packed LPG marketer, has launched a countrywide campaign to sensitise its channel partners and Indane LPG customers on the importance of conducting pre-delivery checks for a LPG cylinder every time a refill is supplied. Pre-delivery checks for a LPG cylinder include cylinder weight demonstration, O-Ring leak check, Valve leak check, etc. to be done at the time of LPG cylinder delivery at customer premises.

IndianOil supplies 30 lakh Indane cylinders daily on pan-India basis. IndianOil has commenced the countrywide awareness campaign by reaching out to its network of over 12,000 distributors, 64,000 delivery men and 12.5 crore Indane customers. The concept of pre-delivery checks has always been a part of Indane delivery system. However, with an increase in the number of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana  consumers, the responsibility of making the users aware of safe usage of LPG has increased.

IndianOil has always had a rigorous system of checks at all its LPG Bottling to ensure Quality & Quantity. The Corporation has decided to extend this system of checks at the pre-delivery stage of LPG cylinders at the customer doorstep.  This month-long exhaustive pre-delivery check awareness campaign has been launched by IndianOil in line with the Corporation's core corporate value of Care for stakeholders. Customer's insistence on checks at the time of taking cylinder supply goes a long way in ensuring safe usage of LPG.

The pre-delivery checks awareness campaign was kicked off in Pune by Mr. Amitabh Akhauri, Executive Director, Maharashtra State Office. It is aimed at making aware all cooking gas consumers of IndianOil about the pre-delivery checks by LPG delivery staff.

Indane delivery boys have been equipped with pre-delivery check kits for checking leakage from valve and defective 'O' Ring. Electronic weighing machines are available with the delivery boys to show the weight of the cylinder to the customer. IndianOil has a round-the-clock 24x7 LPG Complaints Emergency No. 1906 to receive and monitor complaints. IndianOil customers today can make payments for refills by using e-wallets, credit/debit cards, net banking as well as mobile apps.
